We were asked to replace the original timber decking, unfourtunately the timber structure had ran out of life and the deck bounced like a trampoline. To increase the life our cutomer opted for a composite frame, with composite boards attached.
This deck was finished with a classic 'bullnosed picture frame'. This can be seen around the outside of the deck on the sides with steps.

A low level deck was needed at this property to cover up and even out the patio which had been subject to alot of patching and rough work. Full composite frame and boards were used here as well as galvanised fixings throughout.
Matters were complicated further with 2 drains existing and needed removable covers installed to allow future access.
This new decking area complimented the already installed colourfence for a very low maintenance outdoor space.

The customers wished to get more use from the rear garden, which was entirely on a 30° slope. This meant we had to level the top of the deck with the pathway and fill the lower part of the deck with a surround. A grey Colourfence was installed around the garden to finish off this low maintenance, very long lasting project.

Please take note the bespoke access hatch built to allow constant access to the electricity meters below.
Also please note that the composite decking boards were installed onto a timber frame. This is possible and a much more budget friendly option than a full composite frame. Although composite frame work willl last alot longer timber is sstill a very viable alternative, if fitted with flashing tape adn taking care to negate water pooling on flat surfaces.
Some small composite decking jobs completed by myself. In all cases these were replacements of timber boards with a new composite boards. We re-used the original timber frames, albeit, with a few re-reinforcements.
